Description
This was my first attempt at an “heirloom fit” on the brass cap, meaning that it is not flush with the wood. When interfacing wood and metal for a long life, it’s not a great idea to have them be flush. Wood moves over time and metal doesn’t. With prolonged use the wood would contract and expand and leave an uneven interface with the metal. This one was a gift for my lovely lady and was a great learning experiment.
